Last week the park was so beautiful, but this week, it’s even better.  Most of the tulips are now in bloom, and it’s hard to pick which one is my favorite.

I love these two toned pink ones planted next to the deep purple.

Then the red ones–brilliant and beautiful.

Yellow and red–some of my favorites!  I love how the the red almost looks like it was painted on the flower.

These are not tulips, but I love their shade of purple.  DSC04371

The park in Spring is one of my favorite places and this is why:

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature, and God. And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.” –Anne Frank

  1. you hardly need a garden when the park is just down the street, the only trouble i suppose is that you can’t pick them and put them on your table

    • You’re right! The park is the reason I can put up with such a small yard. I would actually like a bigger yard, but living in the city I’m lucky to have what I do and the park is an extension of my yard in many ways. I joke with Sam that the park is part of my backyard, so actually I have a tennis court and golf course in my own backyard! Problem is I don’t golf. Tennis I don’t play very well either (but am trying to learn). But still, it’s fun!
